aZZie... ffs calm down ... lol
VirtualDub ONLY accepts sequencialy named series of *.bmp's. That means you need to make sure that the sequence you want to import into virtual dub, is "sequencely" named. that is in order from the frist screeshot to the last one they have to be named in order.
AceMegaCodedcs pack ONLY installs a variety of the most common codecs available today. It does not appear as "AceMegaCodecs Pack" within VirtualDub, ONLY the codecs that AcePack installs appear in VirtualDub, and ONLY the ones that can be used to ENCODE.

well i duuno which of the few listed ones with no restrictions i am to use here
or do i dl that mpeg4 file to do the job?
my sources tell me u CAN add to those codecs listed from Ace mega codecs pack
in choosing the right compression file is the essential issue that frames must be divisable by 4?
i have heeded ur advice (kinda) & decided to persist cos i gonna show u all that i CAN do this, albeit to turn out a bloody mess & i be too emabarrassed to put my name to it
wud u prefer i PM with my questions or chat on icq or i spose u gonna say "keep ur bloody questions to urself"
u have been sooooo helpful but i simply do not have the required understanding to know exactly what i am doing

Here's everythig youll need to get Rcam working aZZie;
http://machina.trishock.com/files/rypeltut/tutorial.htm
And a quick description on how to get it working;
In the RCam_UT04_08 folder (thats what its called if you used its default name) theres a file called cam.u Copy that one into your UT2004/system directory.
The other folder is CompaMut-0.1 in it are three files;
CompaMut0_1.u
CompaMut0_1.ucl
CompaMut0_1.int
All three of these need to be copied into your UT2004/system directory as well.
Once thats done, you need to open up your User.ini and do the following;
Make sure that your "H" and "I" keys have nothing bound to them, the same goes for all your numpad keys, have nothing bound to them.
Then;
Do a CTRL+F to bring up the find tool and do a search for "DemoMenuClass" and it should find something that looks like (well exactly like) "DemoMenuClass=GUI2K4.UT2K4DemoPlayback"
You need to change that line to "DemoMenuClass=Cam.CamDemoPage"
Then you just continue to Find Next and change all the instances of "DemoMenuClass=GUI2K4.UT2K4DemoPlayback" to "DemoMenuClass=Cam.CamDemoPage" and youll be laughing. (This last bit is really important, I didnt realise there was more then one instance and couldnt figure out why it wasnt working til gammo pointed it out for me lol)
Now you should be able to fire up a demo and have RCam working by pressing the ESC key twice. Press "H" for a quick overview of what everything does and "I" for a quick tutorial/introduction. Also that link I posted before has a tutorial written that you should have a quick once over on to get a small idea of what the cam can do. Then its just a matter of making some small flyby cam paths then work up to capturing shots. After a while youll be pulling off productions like gammo lol
