Re: SpeedTest....
beginin dec, internet no work, weeks of waiting and complaining i gave up and tried another isp. then weeks and waiting and complaining to old isp as they would not take their codes off my line. finally i disconnect my phone nad reconnect. internode/bigpond and old isp would then not touch me saying my line was no good (house 4yrs old/sub devision 18yrs old) BS! then found there are no ports left in my area and they are dropping anyone with lower and 'normal' connections - i was only getting about 5.5mbs on adsl2
so 3g i have. sunday night was not too bad, spikes here and there, but playable

Before Speed Pack:
After Speed Pack;
Conclusion;
For an extra $20 a month, we continue to be robbed for a pathetic service.
Pathetic in every sense of the fucking word;

Re: SpeedTest....
Telstra have recently changed a setting to allow upload speed to increase
My upload speed went from 1.8 maximum to 2.4 - thank you Telstra

Telstras server is often overloaded, running the test to internode gives me better results

I also changed my cable modem to be in bridge mode and stuck in an Asus RT-N66U - what a nice bit of kit that router is - wireless range is awesome - best device in it's class but it is pricy
Just a warning though kiddies - don't go switching your modem to bridge mode unless you put either a NAT device in the middle or put in some type of firewall - once you switch to bridge mode your modem is given an internet wide address and therefore subject to whatever is out there that wants to hack away at it - I'm just saying because I've heard cases where someone switched to bridge mode and their PC was hacked in minutes by some script kiddies who then turned their PC into a proxy server!
So once in bridge mode never plug anything into it other than the one cable running off to your firewall and/or NAT box - it's a nasty world out there and your Mummy isn't going to chase away the bullies lol
p.s. Is it just me but when I post the default font colour is really hard to see against the background - so I have selected a white font colour to compensate
