In other words it's a gamekiller. They don't want a game killer, they want noob weapons that noobs can use, with a blindfold, just like any weapon in Halo, BF, Quake, Doom3, blah.. blah... blah.....
Yes, in ut2k4, the lg was a game killer. In the new game, the lg would'nt be much of a game killer at all, I agree with you there.
And why are you assuming the game will be n00b friendly? Counterstrike, probably yes. But to me, Quake required a bit of skill, and ut99 required more skill, and UT3 will be very similar. UT3 will still be a fast paced game, it will just require different skillz.

What's wrong with trying to appeal to a larger audience? As long as I have lots more fun people to play with, and less elitist fear players to deal with, I don't care how much money epic makes. Good for them in fact.

They have replaced the LG with a new weapon, here it is!

im happy with ut as long as teh flack cannon is always included - its the olny wepon i can use to kill r@ge, over and over lol
i was pissed when the sniper went gams, took me ages before i would even fire teh lg, now it is my #1 wepon followed closely by teh flack. u will ~waving hand like jedi~ become attached to teh new rifle

I just read that hands on review.. and soory to say it.. but yes
It pissed me off to no end.. not a single fucking word about the LG.. I've jsut about had enought of this fucking shit!!!!
The shortend the trow arc on the Flak secondary.. in my personal opinion the current arc is brilliant.. cause it always catches the oponent unaweares, cause they don't expect it to travel that far.. seriously the secondery flak firemode, does take skill when you start using the grenades for long distance shoots... now that's gone....
It's crystal clear they want the action on the grouund and slowed down... funy feeling the X, Y axis fun of maps like Agitation & Meitek will be lost....
Goo is the same, so is the shock, just slight tweaks... Rox sound like slugs now... more for vehicles...
not another word from me... fuck this.. whats the fucking big deal with the LG and all this bullshit secrecy...

s very few people have actually gotten their hands on Epic’s newest iteration of the Unreal Tournament franchise up until today’s Midway Gamer’s Day, Epic’s Mark Rein revealed not only a new name for the franchise, but an additional platform.
Unreal will be dropping the year moniker from the name, and the game is now titled Unreal Tournament 3 instead of Unreal Tournament 2007. While originally slated to be released for the PC and PlayStation 3, Epic today announced that the game will also make its way to Microsoft’s Xbox 360.
Epic is sticking to a “When it’s done” mentality as far as a release date--they’re currently aiming for a second half 2007 release date. Whether or not all three versions will ship at the same time is unknown. Epic plans on releasing a demo for the PC version about a month or so prior to shipping UT3. Whether or not the company plans a demo version for the consoles is also up in the air.

They both look fakan awesome, but only available on the Xcrud360.
