Hey whats better. Having the mouse settings up high in the logitech setup with really low settings ingame or having low settings in windows with higher ones in the game. :blink: ?

lordi me i thoroughly recomend having mouse acceleration at 0 and also turning off the native windows acceleration by using the mouse fix found here <a href='http://www.geocities.com/c4guide/ut2k3.html#why' target='_blank'>mousefix</a>

btw u need to run the mouse fix each time u update yr vidcard drivers.....

Ive got no acceleration in game ticked under the logitech ones but what do you put the cursor speed at? does that matter much?

Cursor speed is how fast your mouse moves through the ut2004 menus, it won't affect your aiming Kaza, so set at whatever you see fit.

Nah it does matter in the logitech settings. The cursor speed effects it heaps during the game. I dunno if I should have the cursor speed real low and have faster in game settings like 3.0 or whatever or high cursor speed with real low in game settings like .50 or something.

I got it set real nice anyway and I can feel the difference heaps, mines now set at 1.15 with the cursor speed on 5 with no acceleration.
Its like it gives you abit more time to aim the shot(or thats what it feels like).

Its better because you dont have that slight gap between pressing the left mouse and another key or mouse button.This gap makes it harder to stay on target and makes the headshot follow up move more tricky.

I find that if I fire and change weapon with the same(one)button press the lg is very accurate cause you are constantly lining up your shot with the secondary weapon and vice versa.
Sometimes you dont hear the lg fire but I dont know if thats normal or not? The sound of a silent headshot is 1337. :ph34r:

If you havent tried this you should at least test it out.
I wont give my 1337 bind here but its somewhere in kaoshq under binds.

Ok say you want to fire the lg then swap to the shock rifle, you have to press the left mouse then either use the wheel to change weapon or another key or mouse button before you get to hit the left mouse again to fire. This is a gap which stuffs up aiming for me.

The coolest visual combo is firing a shock ball then shooting it with the primary whilst auto changing to the lg. It changes so quick it looks like you almost do the shock combo with the lg.

You just set your mouse wheel button(when you press it) to change between your favorite weapons....mine is piped 4 and piped 9 switchtobest weapon all in the one bind. Then I set my weapons in the game in the order I want them.(best weapons)

Basically this means with a mouse wheel click you get either(in order)your lg/shock paired together or lg OR shock paired with whatever the best weapons orders in.(So you can always snipe) The bestweapon is like a tracer for the next lg shot so I waste the ammo cause it helps me aim.

You just gotta then press the wheel click button with the left fire button at the same time. It takes a day to get used to it but once you are you'll find all other ways slower. Cause it is. :ph34r:

It works for me....well most the time...with the new mouse you gotta press it in a more defined way.(Big click)

Dude, have you ever considered putting the shock rifle binded to the 'e' key?
Try 'q' for LG, 'e' for Shock, it cant be simpler than that. Middle mouse wheel should be used to roll, but simply as 3 buttons, 1=up 2=down 3=pressmiddle

thats 3 more weapons bound.

I think its much more efficient having a single weapon bound to a single key.

Besides, wakk this on your middle mouse:

middlemouse=switchweapon 8 | button bfire | onrelease switchtolastweapon

It fires the rocket with a press, then switches to last weapon. If you hold it down, it just switched to rockets. Its nearly two things bound to one key. LG shot, then press middlemouse = quick ass killin!

Nah you gotta try this bind
pipedswitchweapon 4 | pipedswitchweapon 9 |onrelease switchtobestweapon

Because of the switchtobestweapon I have all the weapons under that middle wheel click it just picks the shock and lg first. If I dont have one of these weapons it goes from say shock to flak(which is my best weapon or rocket,whichever is next in order.
So set that bind for your middle mouse button and then set the order right in ut. Then push two buttons at once.

If you set the lg to the e key you are reaching for that key while fighting which is not as effective as just pushing the buttons together.
This is where you can gain a slight difference cause it just feels smoother because you dont have to press any keys while aiming.

Dude when this works it cuts out the sound sometimes as it fires one of the guns cause its too fast to keep up I guess. :blink:

I dont have "switchbestweapon" bind, cause there IS no 1 best weapon for everysituation. Everyone of my weapons is best weapon.

Your binds dont do shit.

Also, in some arena's pipedswitch weapons used to bet people into trouble, dun know why, I think they are for horses hoofes.

Ive actually considered your argument, and damn, I think your right about my poor positioning with the q and e keys.

Im gonna test drive your pipedswitches, but without that best weapon crap.

But the switchtobestweapon is the BONUS cause if you just have the shock you can switch between that and whatever weapon is in the order you set your weapons at.

eg. If i got everything but no lightning gun I will shoot a shock then flak. If my flak is outta ammo it goes shock then rocket. If im outta rockets it then goes to the link(shock and link combo) cause its quicker than the mini etc working my way to the pistol.

If I have everything BUT the shock I change between the LG and whatever the bestweapon is I got(So the same order). If I have both I do the shock LG combo until I run outta ammo with one of them.
The only other buttons I use is the thumb(on the mouse)for my instant mini or link and the red button on the left hand to give me a instant flak or rocket when I have the shock and LG.

You'll know Im outta weapons when you see the shock and goop combo :lol:

or lg and pistol combo

The main thing to try is actually hitting the two buttons at once. :ph34r:

Am I the only one doing this?
