Ok i jsut got a version of the new DivX PRo 6 Encoder and was keen to try it's new fwtures, so i quickly made this 3 edit avi, taken on DM-1v1-Lea last night....

Dunno, the compression is good, might need to tweak it the settings more to get a result as good as the last MPEJG 4 v3 results.

I have made two versions of the file, one in DivX6 the uder in MPEJG 4 format...

A little feedback please....

very close 2: MPEJG 4 v3 mabe bit better.

Look at them again.. but this time look indiscreminatly, that is... don't focus in, on the centre of the "action" but at the edges of the playback.. and look at the shadows and the details within the shadows... and you will notice DivxPro really rapes the texture detail in those areas, especially in the shadows, were as MPEJG4 keeps it all evenly crisp...

Both look bout the same to me... then again i am blind.

P.S i got owned

ns....the 6 codec has more compression so there has to be more loss.... but it certainly looks acceptable.....the amount of detail change isnt much if you ask me.....maybe bump up the res to gain back some of the loss...while keeping an eye on file size of course... youll probably end up with a better vid at the same size or maybe a little smaller.

uppping da rez is very expensive on teh end file size...


no I'm gonna do it again but now that I have actualy looked deeper into DivX 6, I'm gonna do sum tweaking...

yo gammo how do u get such good quality for only 2 mb

cause im tryin to compress some clips but the quality just goes shit

do u compress it straight from virtual dub or wat

plz do a faq sheet on compression like how to make a movie
