True colours of Hurricane Katrina

Watching the news footage of the tragedy of Hurricanne Katrina in Louisiana left me in shock and disbaleef.
They had several days advance notice that the Hurricane was coming, but where was the preparedness? Why weren’t the hospitals, schools, and seniors evacuated immediately?
People were furious that they had been dumped at a place (the superdome) where there was no food, no water and no one in charge. Three babies died at the Superdome from heat exhaustion.
President Bush's response " looters should be dealt with “zero tolerance.”
It doesnt help with the neo-media in a frenzy over the looters in Louisiana and Mississippi, many of whom were merely searching out basic supplies after being stranded for 3+ days.
Well hey mutherfuker mister Bush I ask you. What the fuk would you do if you had a 6 month old baby screaming that hadnt had food nor water for days? You would do whatever it takes to help your family and if that means breaking into the seven eleven then so be it!
So why has the help been so slow in commin why did so many die and why are so many still waiting to be rescued?
You see:New Orleans is comprised of roughly 485,000 residents, with an astonishing 28 percent living at or below the poverty level!(most of them black). When your on welfare or you dont have a car and no money it makes it kinda hard to evacuate ...evacuate to where? This is where the government is supposed to step in and help.....
If ever anyone doubted that there were two Americas, this disaster has made this division clear. The victims have largely been poor and black.
Has the Administration shortchanged homeland preparedness, in favor of funding a misguided war in Iraq and tax cuts for the wealthy?
The difference between those who lived and those who died amounted to nothing more than poverty or skin color.
