Gammo, how do you get this thing to work...? :roll:

I copied over the files into the /system folder (for both RypeLcam and that CompaMut). I also edited the user.ini as per the readme file that come with the program. The 'H' and 'I' keys and the number keys have nothing set to them in the user.ini

But when I watch a demo and press 'Esc' and then 'H' (or 'I' or any other key for that matter) nothing happens....am I missing something? What exact steps did you use to get it working?

=)

At the very start of the demo, press the ESCAPE key TWICE.. that is ONE time then immediatly press it TWO TIME.....

Once you have done that, get ready to pause the game at the spot that you want, wich would be JUST BEFORE the action you want to record BEGINS....

Now, when you are about 30 seconds away from that particualr action, cycle throught the the viewing cameras (Each player's viewpoint) until you get to the FREECAM, SPECTATOR camera.... then hit

PAUSE!!!!!! but do not KEYBIND the pause to akey, you have to PAUSE the game using the buttom on your keyboard, that particualr button has (Usually) two functions assigned to it and written on it:

PAUSE ______ & _____ Break

ok..

So hit PAUSE. Now using your W, S, A, D movement keys setup you will be able to move around within the PAUSED demo....

Hit the key: H for a menu and if you HIT it again it goes away...

Hit the Key: I for a brief instruction set....

If you are using version 0.8b then you need to HIT the Key:

L to get rid of the demo-pause menu...

::MUAHHAHAHAHA::

I cant get past that bit....

I pushed it twice really fast...didnt do anything. So I tried it twice slowly....didnt do anything. So I pushed it repeatedly.....didnt do anything. And when I say it "didnt do anything" I mean after I do it, it doesnt let me freemove in paused mode or let me bring up the instruction sets etc (in other words its as if I havent installed it at all).

So did you need to do anything special that isnt mentoined in the readme file? Or am I just having a bad day and condemned to having bad camera angles =(

hhhh

Normally when you hit the ESCAPE key, a little menu pops up from the top fo your demo screen, it allows you to:

Stop
Play
Fas Forward the demo...

Do you see that at all?

ANd did you do the following to your User.ini?

change the line that says:

"DemoMenuClass=GUI2K4.UT2K4DemoPlayback"

to

"DemoMenuClass=Cam.CamDemoPage"

Consider that there may be more then ONE instance with that change, i had 16 different lines in my User.ini that all had written a line that says "DemoMenuClass=GUI2K4.UT2K4DemoPlayback"

AntiTCC (each Version) writes one, so does UT2Vote, UTComp and most any otehr mod...

So check your User.ini for for that.
