OMG i soooooo love Quake . . . it just seems to draw u in . . . so different from UT

master the railgun and u will pwnz the game
my initial gaming introduction some 8-10 years ago saw Quake 3 Arena as my 1st game that i owned
those were the days of cyber athletes being rare but as it happened i lanned with a particular Quake clan called Dust2Dust and 3 of the players were world renowned at particular aspects of the game . . . . like one guy had scripted the railgun so that there was no/minimal delay between the trigger being pulled and the effect of firing being launched on the enemy . . . in UT2K4 that would be cheating but it was not cheating in Quake . . . be interesting to see if that still stands with Punkbuster cos that was not about then.
i also happen to have some awesome configs, easily adaptable to Quake 4

oooo and there is the Team Arena aspect too . . . i luv UT but i think i gotta get this game too!

Havent played it yet but from what Ive been hearing its a great single-player campaign and a virtually identical multiplayer game to Q3Arena, just better graphics and higher min system requirements (which may not be such a bad thing....)
