Of course, LCD all the way imo!!!!!
Had a 17" Samsung LCD for ages now, 12ms response, and the damn things is excellent - no ghosting, no lag, no colour distortion, no dead pixels, no nothing - just excellent performance...
10 GOOD REASONS TO MOVE TO LCD:
1. LCD's are becomming very affordable
2. Weigh only a fraction of CRT (roughly 6 to 7 times less)
3. do not give off radiation
4. use bout 3 times less power
5. are very thin (about 6 - 8cm thick) meaning they can also be wall mounted
6. colours don't wash out
7. screen is not "shaped" to fit monitor (the curving u see in CRT)
8. they don't get hot
9. they eliminate the issue of glare (something that can lead to headaches and sore eyes if present for too, long)
10. plus they can utilise a DIGITAL connection
10 GOOD REASONS TO STAY WITH (OR MOVE BACK TOO) CRT:
1. Cheap as chips (cause they r outdated)
2. Response time is perfect - never any lag
3. Can technically display more colours (see article above, explains)
4. Colour definition is spot on (no banding, etc.)
5. Can generally display at higher resolutions than a LCD (depending on size, quality, etc.) albiet often not recommended
6. Can be used as a room heater on chilly nights
7. More likely to seriosuly injure/kill unwanted intruders if thrown at them
8. Aids in the growth of a variety of cancers and tumors for those wanting to end it all
9. Can be used to seriously damage one's back and enable them to get time off work
10. Helps u aquire a massive power bill to boast about to ur friends.
LCD are the way of the future..resistance is futile......
Anyways that should help clear up many misconnceptions about both technologies, but if ur reading this now and haven't yet checked the article i linked to, i suggest u go back and do as ur told the first time...
