Ok les do sum maths.... just to give youa simple idea of how FIFA is just like any other multy-national corporation, exploting every marging it can... any way it can...

The sexy new 2006 World Cup soccer ball, went on sale for around US$200 mark (To keep things simple we gonna round of numbers...)

so as reported by Time magize it's around 200 American dollars. The ball was made in a factory owned by some German Shoe Manufacturing Group, the worker that makes that shoe gets paid around 200 dollars a month for their efforts.

That's as far as Time magazine went.

But we can go further with little effort or knowledge.

On average that worker would make say, 100 balls a day (12 to 16 hour repetative labour shitfs, minimun)...

So we got this:

200 dollars a ball
100 balls a day 7 days a week
200 monthly wage

I won't bother with material cost, they buy by the cubic tonne, so the material over a large production run, with these sort of margins becomes negligeble. (Of course [they] calculate this to the very degree of rocket science, no bean goes uncounted).

So yearly totals start to look like this;


100 balls x 7 days x 365 days = 36,500 balls in one year.

200 wages per month x 12 months = 2,400 dollars in wages

200 dollar RRP x 36, 500 balls = $7,300,000 dollars

7.3 million - 20,000 in Overheads for that run = $7,280,000


So in all approximation let's round it all off to $US7.1 million dollaars profit, from the labours of ONE uneducated, problably UNDERAGE worker.
