Apart from compression issues that go into making a vid, the other most important issue is Aspect Ratio.

The following link leads to the most comprehensive information about aspet ratio I have, yet found.

If you get your aspect ratio wrong then everything else is wrong. You have to nail your ratios properly or your work may not play back as well as intended. Furthermore, the correct aspect ratio lends to greater workability as far as processing is concerned.

Same thing just from a different perspective and fresh words.. the first link gives me headaches.. ffs... need to read it at least 4 or 5 times...

It's very tricky this aspect ratio stuff and most of the information I knew about it, is just plain wrong.. so read up... this is very important if you want to make serious vids.

It has a brilliant file called:

16:9 Guide Graphic

You D/l it to your Photoshop compatable thingy and overlay (With layers DoH!) over one of your vid frames, and it shows you exakly were your imaga gets cut-off depending on the Aspect Ratio you choose your vid to have.

I been looking for clear info on this issue for ages, finally foound some that makes bloody sense.
