just curious is all, different players use different field of vision settings according to what their preference. What do you use? just 90 degrees (default)?

Is there any way of getting a widescreen view through the ini file. I've tried but without success.

OK i see wat you mean, no not to ny knoledge, I've never heard of that b4, in UT at least... try a FOV of 110, that will put a whole lot more in your filed of view and it wil also make you think you are moving around the map really fast like...lol
Go into a game, open up your console and type in:
FOV 110
then hit enter and close your console and away you go....

I used to use 140 in Q2, i was nuts.
Now its just 100 (highest setting i can access in the UT2003 menu, ie without editing ini files)

OK I'll come clean, i use an FOV of 1000.
During gameplay open up your console using the "~" key and type in the following:
FOV 1000
Welcome to gammos world.....
<span style='color:red'>WARNING:</span>
Use at your own fucking risk, I TAKE NO FUCKING RESPONSABILITY for what this FOV setting will do to your brain. Epeleptic fits, schizo rampages, and insanaty is not my FUCKING problem, so use it at YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!!

bahaha impossible. 360 degrees is the maximum clearly isnt it? That is unless you can have everything around you displayed multiple times on the screen at once (view may be streched polypanographically, leads to MAJOR memory/graphical issues, not to mention impossible to comprehend visually); but ill have to try it to make sure... heh
1000 would be pretty leet, but 1337 would be a nicer FOV

edit: ok tested it, 170 is the maximum FOV you can use (10 degrees below being able to see your left and right sides). Anythin above 170 just looks like 170. Oh, and 1 degree is the minimum.
