I supposse you all heard the pre-election lies been sold by both parties over the pathetic broadband service in this 1st world country (At least we think we are, hey, so I guess we are)

here's a simple non sarcastic question for all those politicians who ae currently lying thorught the skin of their teeth about technology they DO NOT UNDERSTAND.

In (AS ONE EXAMPLE) they have in just about every part of the country;

24Mb UNLIMITED BROADBAND

how much? £17.99

Around he 50 dolla mark.... not bad hey.....

My question: (Mainly to the Liberal Parties PRIVATE VENTURE of giving the future of the internet in this country EXCLUSIVELY to priv ate Corporations.

How much will we pay for this suppossed service that is costing taxpayers nothing?

90, 100, 150 dollars?

We have currently accounts that are limited and there roughly double the price as the rest of the world.

We have a system, that has been BUILT BY PRIVATE corporations, right now, and trying to play one game of UT to a server less then 10 kilometers from my PC, results in pings of 80+ and contant packloss of 30+.

How much fucking bullshit does it take to hold a federal election?

So God help the politicians that comes to my door, cause nothing else will.

I'm not happy and if you think I have a problem, talk to Gades and his 3rd world connection, just ask him how much he pays, for the plate of shit his ISP servers him every minute of the day.

$60 dollar mark here, 512k, unlimited, and I'm getting a better deal then a lot I think, cause I've seen advertised a lot lower valued plans (BigPond, I'm looking at you).

Everybody knows about the 30 packetloss I get every 30 secs on every server (that's why I alias as LagMast3r).

Oddly enough, I never seemed to get such consistent packetloss, it only happened after I migrated to ADSL2. My old 256k ADSL1 connection was a lot more stable, and oddly enough, wasn't even slower (on servers I mean).

Gammo, what I'm hearing is no real surprise to me. And if they pay rather little for it, then who really pays for it?

Sooner or later, the rest of the country is gonna fully understand what goes on, then these guys got a LOT of explaining to do. I think it's gonna happen sooner rather then later ... I hope.

And while I'm at it, do you know this link?
Whirlpool.net

These guys seem to know a bit about connections and Isp etc.

Nah, my favorite trick is warping in mid-air, freezing matrix style, and headshotting people!
