It's just plain fucking awesome, I have never been so impressed with a mouse, ever!
Just ask R@ge about my aim now...... ohhh yeah baby.....
Takes ages to get used to it, but when you do it will blow you away.
My settings are as follows:
DPI = 2000
Sensitivity = 0.15000
Refresh Rate = 1000 reports/second
What mouse and settings do the rest of you have and why have you not all rushed out and got one of these suckers!?

I read several reviews on that, and the reason I didn't buy one myself is because of what some reviewrs said about the mousewheel (the way you can tilt it left or right, and those count as extra buttons, they complained about it getting in the way of normal middle clicks).
Does this happen to you?
Glad you got used to the mouse sens (which means the rest of us are royally screwed now)
When my mx518 karks it, I may consider buying one.

I use the middle DPI under the running man - I think it's 1200, 0r 800 or something like that. Whatever the default is. My ingame sens is 1.5.
It defineatly helped improve my aim, still noob though.

nonsense, tell those that complained about the middle mouse button, to take thier safety gloves off, the mouse don't have any sharp edges.
It onws, it just plain owns......
Jazzz, you're far from nooby.... you're getting better by the minute....

i got teh first edition, it is gray and only one button on the side ffs. i wanna upgrade to the new one so it can be blue and have the extra button, but my gf would go nutz lol
anywayz, it (and new mouse pad - icemat from hardly normal - about $70) improved my accuracy by a min of 15%, i dropped my ut sensitivity by about 50% and the middle button makes my weapon switching twice as fast because less of movement from ur fingers (each button on teh mouse is a weapon in my settings)

yeah, make it light at the front and heavier at the back.
So what i got is;
2 x 4.5g weights on the back, that is under you palm.
2 x 1.7g weights at the front, that is under your fingertips.
Resolution set at 2000
Sensitivity set at 0.12000
And I love it!

I found some problems with this mouse and the icemat.
This G5 has a laser its not optical some of the lasers dont work on the icemat most peopele have no problems with the g5 and the icemat and some had to upgrade the firmeware for it to work.
http://www.icemat.com/about/contact/faq
well it works for me but if i do a very fast 180 move i will end up with a 90 grrr this maybe because i had my icemat for 4 years and at some of the area's it's starting to get bit less matt.
some say the laser dont like the black icemat but it works on the other colors but i cant be fucked taking the risk.
So now im looking for a new mouse pad i will give the icemat to my son.
Thinking of getting this

Yeah that's the one you want. I got it's baby brother, about 5 years ago, and it's still going strong, best mousing surface ever!!!
This is what I've been doing for years and it's maintanined my mousepad like new.
Every couple of days or when ever, jut do it regulary, spray a bit of "ArmorAll Original Protectant" on it and give it a wipe down, with the wet rag of wiping the mousepad down, wipe the underside of your mouse down.
Voila! guranteed, ultra clean, ultra smooth, ultra slick, ultra, ultra, ultra fast mousing sufarce.
It also maintains the mousing surface in the bets possible condition, giving you years of gaming.
Ithink I'm going to get one of these bigger ones as well.....

the is 2 different textures you use the more fine one gammo?

by gämmö
No, my one has the two on the same mousepad, that is, one side is smooth and side is a bit rougher.
I used to use the smooth side with my MX510, but now I'm using the rougher side.
It's still smooth and you have virtually no friction resistance.
I find the slightly rougher texture a bit better, but that's just me, I kind of like the way it feels under the mouse.

Ohhh nice, I'm geting one when I come back fo sure... fook it loos good...
Yeah get the one with both surfaces man, best of both worlds...
And you don't need the muose cable holder clip for shit... totally useless item.... not neded at all, the new G5 uses a cloth type cable wrap, that illiminates snagging on surfaces, so this matt is perfect for it.....
sweeeeeett.......
