I'm not happy.  ::grrrrrr::  ::grrrrrr::  ::grrrrrr::  ::grrrrrr::  ::grrrrrr::

Rung up gamedude (again) to find out what the fuck is taking my order so long, n they effectively gave me the same response as they did last week - "oh, ur ram is still on order, they haven't given us an eta yet, but it will be soon" THATS WHAT U SAID A WEEK AGO BITCH!
::grrrrrr::

Here's the story - i ordered some parts from gamedude and some parts from umart (both through their websites) on the 25th of last month. Although i would have to pay freight twice, the savings i made still outweighed the extra cost. I did a direct deposit into their accounts the following day (the 26th, for those that can't count :P). Technically, one would think that i should recieve both orders around the same time, since both are shipping up from Brisbane. As is my luck in life, it wasn't to be....

On the 27th (a saturday) Umart emailed me that they had processed my order, but were waiting on the case which had to be ordered in. I must say that i'm impressed that they actually processed orders on a saturday, since most companies don't. On the tuesday (30th) i got another email from Umart saying that the case had arrived, n that they would let me know when the order was to be dispatched. I hadn't had any word from gamedude yet - they hadn't even emailed/phoned to confirm they had recieved my payment.

The next day (31st) another email from umart - my order had been sent with TNT couriers, and i could track the progress of the delivery online using a delivery reference number they gave me. Still no word from gamedude. Wondering what the hell was going on, i decided to email gamedude. They responded to the email by ringing me, and told me that they 'seemed to have lost the deposit reciept' for my deposit, n asked if i could scan in and email them a copy of my reciept stub. WHY THE FUCK HAD THEY NOT CONTACTED ME SOONER?! So, i emailed the damn recipt stub and waited. They emailed back saying my order had been processed.

1st November (thursday) - 1 week since ordering. I get a phone call from gamedude saying that my order had been processed, but they were now out of stock of the ram i ordered. Of course, when i made my order, they still had stock, and IF THEY HADN'T FUCKED AROUND WITH MY ORDER FOR A WEEK BEFORE ACTUALLY DOING SOMETHING, THEY WOULDN'T BE IN THIS SITUATION.
She said "yes they have already ordered the ram, don't have an eta yet but should be soon"
"Will I have my order by next week?"
"Yeah, that shouldn't be a problem."

2nd November (friday) round 11am, my Umart order arrives, delivered to my house by the TNT courier truck, all intact and neatly packaged. A simple 1 week turn around from payment time till delivery (with a 3 day delay to order the case as well, mind u), and a half-dozen emails letting me know what was happening every step of the way. Overall, very profesional service.

Skip to today (7th November) AND STILL NO FUCKING WORD FROM GAMEDUDE. So i ring up, n she gives me the same little spiel she did a week ago, meaning that if they haven't got my order yet, then there is no way i'll be getting it before end of the week.
::ns::

As it stands:

UMART:

Spent approx $700 with them, tonnes of feedback, very efficient order processing and delivery, no hassels, no stress.
Verdict: Would be happy to do business with them again
::Respek::

GAMEDUDE:

Spent approx $2000 with them (yes, more than twice as much as i did with umart),
they lost my payment details, failed to contact me to let me know they had lost them, just sort of waited and hoped the problem would go away, but were more than happy to take my money. Staff stuff ups resulted in stock shortage, causing further delays. In all, for the $2024 i put in their account i have recieved 2 phone calls and an email - and thats only because i kept harrassing them.
Verdict: Very last time I am shopping with Gamedude, so unprofessional its not funny.
 ::whyyou!!::

For those looking to order computer parts online, i suggest u go with umart. Their prices are (more often than not) slightly more expensive than gamedude (usually by $5 or $10) but for the peace of mind and professionalism its worth it. Unless of course u enjoy throwing around thousands of dollars in cash only to be bum-fucked into insanity while their fat-arse loser staff sit around on permanent lunch breaks eating donuts and Mc Donalds that they bought with ur money, in which case I would strongly reccomend Gamedude - "Gamedude - where the prices are cheap, and the service is cheaper."

To any ppl reading this post who may happen to be an employee of Gamedude, all offence is intended.  ::kidder::

yeah, i agree. I've ordered from them before, but its always been COD, and therefore the post office has handled the whole matter.

It seems the moment i leave them to handle my money they've gone and fucked me five ways to china town.

Won't be making this mistake again  ::derro::

UPDATE:

Well, still hadn't heard from them since the last time i rung them, which was last wednesday, so i rung them again this morning. After a bit of searching the guy found my order:

"Umm.......Ah yeah, here it is. Hmm - ah i see, we were waitin on ram or somethin, weren't we?....umm.........ahh ok, yeah looks like it rocked up last friday, i see it sitting here"

Turns out they didn't bother shippin it though, DESPITE THE FACT THAT IT HAD ALREADY TAKEN THEM OVER TWO WEEKS TO ACTUALLY GET MY DAMN ORDER. They decided instead to wait till today.

"Ahhh........yeah, yeah that should be sent out today i think....lets see..... cairns...queensland..... yeah u should probably see that round thursday, hopefully."

Thursday. A full three weeks since when i ordered it.

So, in revision:

UMART: EXcellent service, constant updates, 1 week turn around.

GAMEDUDE: McFucking shit service, NO updates (unless i called them) 3 week turn around.

In light of all these facts, I think it is safe to assume that Gamedude is being run by clan Fear, and that ecky is the ceo.

Well, as it happens, Thursday has come and gone, n yet i still have no parts.

How is that possible, u may ask?

Well, simply put, i do wonder myself. I contacted Gamedude, and they claim it has now (finally) been posted. I contacted Australia Post, but they claim that it has not arrived yet, and that they really can't tell me excatly where it is.

The truth of the situation is, that after more then 3 weeks, my two-grand parcel is now lost somewhere in the Australian postage system.

How much bad luck can one person endure?

Well stay tuned to find out, i'm sure there is plenty more to come.

If they all get together and try real hard, they may be lucky enough to drag my  3-item internet order out to an entire month. That way they'll be able to put it into the Guiness Book of records under 'All-time Colossal Fuck-Ups', right next to Gerorge Bush's government and Micheal Jackson.

For those people who like to spend thousands of dollars on items, but don't actually really want them ever delievered, then i can not recommend Gamedude  highly enough, they are guaranteed to satisfy.
