Alrite go into your doom 3 folder.. once in there go to the base folder you will a file named Doom config open it with notepad..
Find this line seta image_cacheMegs an change it to 128 or higher depending on how much ram you have.. I have 1024 of ram so i have it on 256. Seems to increase your fps by 10 to 15 which helps alot..

Man I played it last night with headphones,complete darkness and lots of buckets and it scared the crap outta me. I screamed and had to rip off the headphones a few times cause it was so intense. I thought I was gonna die from a heart attack. :wub: Love it!

Yer let us know if it workd for you guys as well i noticed like a 10 to 15 frame increase and my fps seem more constant instead of all over the shop..

i did what u said but no change it seems to have a 60fps cap it wont go over that ever look out on a big room drops to 50-55 look at a wall 60 is there a cap like Q3 or is it my machine

Haha yer its capped at 60 this trick was ment for ppl who are strugglin in gettin decent fps.. Eg my dad was getting like 25 to 35 now hes gettin like 40 to 50 which is actually playable.. Yay funny watchn him play this shiit doesnt know wat strafe is well does but never seems to use it just takes those hits like no tomorrow..
