I have recently activated my ADSL through to EXETEL
For $37.50 I get 512/128 with 4gig d/l and $3/extra gig, with a freedownload period between 12midnight-8am.
This free download period means people would be d/ling bulk during those hours, which effects pings for gamers cause of higher traffic bandwith use by EXETEL users.
To solve this, Exetel have set up a FAIR PLAY option for gamers, who if choosing FAIRPLAY are put into thier own FAIR PLAY pool during 12midnight-8am, which isolates from the rest of the EXETEL pool. This pool ensures MAXIMUM transit/ping times for gamer by limiting d/l to 300meg during the free download period. If a FAIR PLAY user d/l's more than 300meg, they get banned from the FAIR PLAY pool. A EXETEL user gets to change into or out of FAIRPLAY each day before 11pm. No game is gonna d/l 300meg for 8hours of continous use, which means 300meg is more than enough, even if you have do d/l patches/mods/maps.
I pay $37.50 a month for this.
