tHIS MX518 WILL rock YOUR world! ........................why? coz......................Its 1600 dpi instead of 800(mx510), it has a 16-bit datapath instead of 8 bit. In theory it should track a lot better and without lag sheewing!
So why would i want a higher dpi?.......phwer ya weeel At higher DPI's, like 800 or 1600, your cursor moves fast VERY FAST perfect for UT2004.
BUT the real kicker for this beauty, is the ability to change the DPI during gameplay! EGSAMPLE. you use your elite twitch skillz to lg/ every mofo in sight @dpi 1600 then switch to a slower 600 dpi for some mini whoring mayhem all at the hit of a button sheewing!

b4 i settled on the mx510 i was looking at the razer diamondback which is 1600 dpi . . . accessabilty to buying was the main factor why i settled on mx510 but i have read awesome reviews about the higher dpi & non-tracking.
well The right button has a tendency to stop workinng on the mx 510, put it this way It doesn't like intense repetitive clicks like yu do in ut 2004..
this did not happen with Mx 500, and I don't have the problem with the mx1000
I found Mx 1000 too sensitive to surfaces for identical specs to the mxx510. Guiving it some jerkiness in Ut..
This being said .. that 518 looks like its doble the resolution to both current top logitech mice.
I will probably buy one .. to try out..
