stinks when u see that fucker anthony dickson the wud-be psycho getting 20 years for killing etc . . . the differing jurisdictions of law make a stark contrast to each other!

It's not a matter of difference.. it's amatter that her defence team could NOT prove it was NOT hers.... that's the interpretation of the law....

We too have different prices for tourist man... lol all countries do that....

And I would not say our Law system is something to be envied... I mean... we have detention centres were the children are held for indefinet time, these poor people do not have a defence team... but our govermenment sees fit to imprison them.... because they made a mistake in their application forms, or were picked up off a boat.... Grrrrr, I've heard eyewitness accounts of just how emotionally drained she's feeling, and it's reminded me of how I myself felt less than a few years ago. It's such a horrendous feeling, it's sheer desperation bordering on, dare I say it, suicidal.

Mind you, her reality is 20 times more grim than mine will ever be.

Yes you are right....BUT in most "civilised" nations the onus is NOT on the DEFENDANT to prove its innocence...its the prosecution that must prove guilt.....the defence only needs to provide "reasonable doubt" to be aquited........

Wrong, after Semptember 9/11 the above is merely a historical reference point, of what, once was a slightly fairer system of justice. Most civilised countryies can now arrest you and detain you with NO proof, just resonable doubt..... so i guess Indonesia wants to keep up.....

In most civilised nations you don't lock up 3 year olds in detention centres.....

I doubt she will ever server 20 years in an indonesia jail.. and i suspect, a lot of politicians making major benifits from all this.... so it's not over yet by along shot... when's our next federal election?

I can understand the outrage, her famaly feels over all this...

But what i can NOT understadn is why is there NOT a large scale investigation, and I mean from top to bottom and from bottom to top.. at our Airports?

Yesterday I sat thorught approx, 4 hours of Corby reports... not one of them... even bothered to research the origin of this event.... that the drugs were planted in AUS in an AUS airport by a Quatas emplooy.... not one media report since all this has started has diverted any considerable attention to this national (In light of 9/11) security issue...

ALL the media was falling over themselfs in demonising the indonisian justice system, particualry the judges, they fell over themselvs in providing "expert" reporting by fucking "reporters" wtf (Since wen is a reporter an expert of anything?) they could not get enoguht footage of her poor paretns, devastated looks and they could not show us enoguht, of Corby herself, utterlly demolished and grief stricken... ripped to shreds, in a wall of emotion and tears... but by God she's got more fucking balls then all the media hacks put together and all the BULLSHIT the goverment double talks... she had the courage to tell her paretns, "It's OK, it's OK".. that's guts... that's intergrety.. not the way the media choose to report all this..

but on the other edge of the knife there is the fact that no-one would have known about it and the ones that did know would do nothing . its all too much work just let it pan out and see what your left with........then all the media jump on and suddenly everyone tries to do their job for once and help one of our citizens.

yes the media make it into a big ratings ploy but its the only way to get the public aware of whats going on.

what if the children overboard wasent put in the media? you think they wouldent have stuck with the first plan... dump them on some other contry.

the media should be accountable to some degree at least. they can demonize the innocent or clear the guilty.(in the public eyes). ::mmdunno::
