UT4 is dead

so if epic have given up on utk4 does this explain the lack of performance of some of the servers out there latley ?... what i mean is, master server and all... i have never understood all that..plz explain sum one....... also the players, i dunno what it is .....

last night playing ctf,,. yes about the only server that i see thats activily playing ctf.. we know which one..... it cant be our connection here i am sure. i have asked serveral people of the quality of most of the servers i have been on recently, and my observations have been somewhat similar....the question is whats going on ???.. not only that.....

here i am playing ctf on a server that feels like its spiking every seccond, and trying to shoot at targets that arn't even there and a fear boy telling me good shot for a target i didn't even see.... but i just happen to hit beacause i thought he might be there.....and a server with 12 players or so, all skilled in the ut department and running around like its there last run, relentlessly spamming anything and everything possible ::wtf2::

anyways whatever is going on its obvious i dont fully understand it, or i dont want to as usual.... i am not trying to make a point this is just how i feel about it all cos i was kinda looking forward to comming back to something.. anything...

if it comes down to no one supporting utk4 and servers disapearing...then whoever is left lannie at my house ::duckusucker::

this game is a fukken classic...and dare i say some of the people are as well... long live Unreal Tournament.

Well, since I've got practically nothing better to do (even if I might get a job sometime this century, lol), and kaos ain't going anywhere (like that was ever a remote possibility), I'm just gonna keep doing what I've been doing for the last year.

Practice, practice, practice.

And while it's taken a long time, and even though I've felt that it wasn't worth my time several times down the road, I'm nevertheless getting results, thus I'm glad I've stuck it out. And sticking it out has arguably been the one thing I've gotten right through my life.

And if finding quality opponents is going to be difficult, then I'm simply going to prac my aim up to obscene levels so I land perfect flak shots before I even see you, and can push people around the map with shock primary completely at will.

And btw, I'd like to see a return to saturday night meets for kaos members, it will probably be our best source for quality opponents, and a great load of fun anyways.

this game IS NOT dead, it is just going thru one of its many stages where it goes quite but think about it, many players r at the age where skool year really important for them this year, many have mid year uni papers due and peeps like gammo & i work for a living ffs . . .

to make a thing stay alive u have to put sumthing into it! Should this game really die then i wud suck on Wakko's tight . . . no i wont go there!

Things will pick up soon - the holidays r comming!! a large proportion of players r either at school or uni, and the holidays for BOTH r only 3 weeks away.

thus, if in 3 weeks there is no improvement, or it gets worse, then it will be safe to assume that ut2004 is dead. Howevere this slump before holdiays happens everytime (cause of exam blocks for school and uni), and so i'm predicting the usual comeback of players in the near future.

besides, insta and ctf r still very much alive - more than enough players to get a good game in - and only a handful of them r clanies

so many players on this match the server was full - had to spec

and this one was almost full as well - once again few clanies and few aliases (besides myself :-P

)

so its not quite dead yet, still some life left in the old girl (no reference intended to u azzie ::cheers2::

hehe . . . i not old, i am gonna be 50 years young!

and i wud never take offense at that Acer, i am proud of who i am, where i am & where i have come from in my years on this planet (but ty for ur consideration) :wink:

look this game aint dead . . theres clan peeps like Leash etc who wont be back playing fullon till end of year ffs . . . even snipes (snippy-exe) has given it a break & prolly wont be back till next year. I have spoken to these guys as well as a number of other prominent players (in clans) & administartors of various forums & none of them r as concerned as u lot seem to be here

it is a phaze! stay strong!

hmmm . . . all a matter of interpretation . . . the game is not dead, its the players that are.

This game will always rock & i aint stopping to play while there r still servers online

I see ppl online all day, an at night they are mainly on the JSG CTF server or the GameSpace InstaMulti server and the GameArena ONS server....which are almost full all the time
