process problems = laggggg

i have found whats going on with my periodic but erilly regular lagg. one of my processes i have running is going to 100%cpu usage every 5 mins (not sure of actual iinterval) and i cant see wich process it is....i can kill them all but i dont want to lose some of them...

omg ixplore just went 90% can it b that! ok it just shot 85% again and it was NOT at a regular interval first jump was 6mins apart second was 35seconds! then 1min.

go back to firefox???....im on it. :kaospanwz:

but im wondering ::wtf2::

is iexplore doing to max out my cpu while its fooking idle!!! spyware or sumthin??? like i dont trust micropenis as far as i can throw bill gates.

the animation at the top right of our forums uses a little cpu.

omfg i just got another spike!!! wtf was that!!!!its fooking firefox now....99% usage . could that be the kaos website?? surely not....then wtf is it.

ANY FOOKING IDEAS GREATLY APRECIATED PEOPLE!!!

cant be firefoix spudman... cause i have it open 24/7 and i paly UT and I do NOT... repeat ... DO NOT get spikes...

so must be sum uder crap.. crapping da crapola out of your craparig....

dunno.. but it sounds like it would need the cpu.. to send it propaganda to all da n00bs using it..... like nothing is fo freee...

i will turn off xfire then if i get no spikes ill belive you ...but i did see in the proceccess menu :firefox 90% the most ive seen xfire use ...once loaded....is 4%

then check your firefox settings... I see no reason for it to use so much...

As for Xfire.. who knows.. it may be it may not be.... but if it has 3rd party processess. they will not list under the name Xfire...

Seriously check.. all your processess. amn, it could be anything...

beats me man.. firefox dun do tath on ma system....

most its using righ tnow is

3% to 25% with 151,044 K of memory usage...

my system idle process is using aorund 85%.. to 90%

so dunno man... must be a combination of things or settings on firefox.. dunno

i just got firefox on default..

but you also got AVG runing there.... even thou on its own its got a fat double 00... it does hook up thoubght firefox.. if Im not mistaken...

dunno man.. bit of amystery....

and in making this post firefox used no more then 45% of CPU...

Ohh an I got about 15 tabbed windows open at the same time.. within firefox...

well i killed avg.to no avail.. and to stop those spikes i just turn off all browsers behind ut. and all is well.

right now as i write this ive had 4 spikes but now they r only 72%cpu ....i dunno i might try 64bit linux again see if i can get it and ut playing ball with my new vid card. the old one wouldent go over 10fps in the menu...sigh...

i know what to do, buy a dual cpu for my motherboard!!!...ffs.

im off to reserch linux distros.....for the leanest meanest gaming distro i can find..........just out of curiosity what is ozforces running?

well if the kasos wabpage is minimize as i try to play ut i get spikes every minute or so must be whan the page auto refresh it self.
