I used to use ICQ 99b, :P, but last year I been using Miranda, which is sort of like Trillian. My only real gripe with it, is msn drops offline after about 5 seconds every time I connect it. I hate msn itself, because it forces itself where I didn't ask for it. I removed messenger from windows components, and still it's installed, and regularly pops it's ugly head up saying, yur not signed in, blah blah :(.
Like, how can I stop that fecking msmsgs.exe from running when it wants, and only when I click the fecker?
Miranda uses about 8 MB ram with 15 IRC channels open and ICQ protocol.
Maybe I should try Trillian?

i use Trillian which caters for my MSN contacts & my one yahoo contact (juggs ffs) but icq dont stay up on it, gotta log into that account seperately from trillian

and i have xfire for contacting clan members

problem with most chat programs = cant message peeps whilst ingame

problem with xfire = cannot transfer & receive files thru it
