Suggest who ever is going to go throught all of this post, to go and get a huge mug of extra strong coffe, you're gonna need it.

First off here's the main and quick reference table to identify all of the 13 nodes my Optus connection takes to our server:
Tis a huge jpeg, make sure you read the text report at the very top, open it on a seperate window plz:

Ok the rest of the stuff below is an attempt to identify what nodes are used, who owns tehm, and were does they reside:

End of 13 Hops trace.
Well does anyone else see it?
Yep it's right there, the text explanation in the jpg set me off on this search to confirm what i already suspected.
Remeber this is atrace & Whois search therefore the pack lenght sent is default 32. But the probs start to happen with bigger pack sizes (Refer to the Variable Pack Size post) so in theory the path to the server from my PC is a good one, all local, but when the packs get bigger the server chokes in the transmision and not the network. (A bit different to 2k's path probs)
And yes.... w00t! it's not the infamous eveil of all evils; THE NETWORK!!!
Well no, this time I don't think so, the above paints a very different picture to that of a saturated network. Look at that information again, none of the hops are outside NSW. No USA here and no Rusky bounces. Nope tis all LOCAL.
So how is it possible for me to get a ping on average of 100 and streaming P/l loss on average of 30?
Yep that's right:
A certain Web Server Manager is causing saturation or more precisly SPIKES.
Can some one else conclude this as well please.... just look at the above info and plz tell me if my conclusion is far fecthed.
Also remember that some times a Tracert will show nodes spiking terribly, wich contradicts the above theory. Because then the network is the problem, as in spiking/saturated nodes. It gets confusing because at the lenght of any one night it will vary and the blame will shift from one to the other.
But adding to the above theory, i don't think in this case, network saturation is the main stay, i think the server is causing the initial lag and it gets amplified as it travels across the network. Because consider that R@ge pings on average of 32 to teh server across his node path, but get's alot of P/l regardless....
Understand what i mean now?
