Thought i'd check up on everyone - i see u r all still going strong...
I haven't played for quite a while now, and thats due mainly to the fact that i never reinstalled the game since my latest spate of reformatting. I have this issue where graphical or audio based programs (games, movies, media players) randomly crash and close down, or the computer istelf simply restarts. It occurs pretty regularly (between 10 mins and half an hour) so gaming, or even simply surfing the web listening to music, has become very difficult and highly frustrating, let alone attempting any form of online play. I have tried every solution imaginable, and even some unimaginable, but to no avail. Yesterday my friend suggested it may be my RAM, so now i've focused on saving some money to buy new ram (ran out of money after last upgrdae, still using older ram). Other than that there is nothing left i can do.
*Lol, this is the second time i've typed this post - at this point the first time my computer restarted itself
I also haven't been on the forums, and this has been due mainly to my life, which seemed to conist entirely of combinations of work and uni, However, i finished my last exam on friday, and am a free man for a few days until i start working my ass off during the break to raise some money to last me the next semester.
In what little time i have had in the past week i bought Half-Life 2: Episode One. Its only short (bout 6 - 8 hours gameplay) but for all those who are a fan of the first half life, and hl2, its well worth the $30. Watch out for Episode Two comming later this year.
In the RTS area there is a bit of comotion stirring over a game to be released next year, Supreme Commander, and so there should be, since its being made by the creators of Total Annihilation - which in my opinion is one of the best RTS games ever. Worth keeping an eye on for those RTS minded members of kaos.
Who could forget, of course, the best game yet - UT2007!!!!!
And its not that far away!!!! U won't be seeing me playing online until this game, and thats for several reasons. It would take me forever to install UT2004, and then find and download all the patches and crosshairs and maps and mods and everything else, and fix my ini file up the way i had it before - and even then i'd be so far out of touch it would take me an eternity to reach the stage i was at before, let alone attempt to catch up with those who have continued playing this whole time - and it'll all be for little gain, since Ut2007 without its extreme dodging (and no lg
So yeah, thats my little rant for the month, good to see kaos is still powering ahead, even though what remians of this dead community is populated with retards and arseholes. In other news, my bro seems to be playng quite often, he goes under the name of encore, or sometimes technoz, or something or other, and appears to have befriended "x", who was previously in frks.
It has come to my attention that my posts tend to be unnecesssarily long, i mean it could of always looked like this:
Hello.
Haven't played for while, computer problems.
Haven't posted either - busy life.
Some good games out and coming, should play.
Won't see me till ut2007.
Bye.
But then, that wouldn't sound half as dramatic and interesting as my drawn out version, now would it?
I'll try to be more frequent on the forums in the lead up to ut2007, so until then look after urselves, and
