suddenly my monitor goes black... and there's this BANG inside my case....

nothing.. dead as dead can be...

I turn on my other PC and hook up da monitor to it... it works!!!!

my brand new 7950gt just went up in a puff of fucking smoke....

I pull the card out... yeap...

big fat burn mark right throught the circuit board... one of the power capacitors... shit itself and shorted out.. taking the whole fucking thing with it..........

When it exploded the main bit that clips over the top of the capacitor, found it's way out of the Cards heatsink wrap-around and smashed into the side of my case, I'll post sum pics of it, on the weekend.....


So today as soon as I finihs work.... I go wid da card back to Umart... and w00t nice fellows they are.... gave me a brand new one, just cause i said please......

so now.. i just got home.. and seriously... the way I'm feeling.. i could not give a fuck if Pandemonium inverted in on itself and dissapered right up it's own arse..

i would toast...

so I'm taking it easy for a few days.. man.. my nervers are shredded....


I'm going to smoke till I drop and then drink till I hit da floor.....

so... movie is off the agenda till next week.. I need a break....

Have a good break man. I remeber when I tried to make a movie...got me so in deep then one day I went FUKTHIS and deleted the whole lot, no trace of any of it. Thus If failed.

u only need aminimun of 400 watts to run a full system featuring a 7950gt. dat's wat it says in the box...

i got a 550watt Tiple phase power box....

It wans't the box.. i figured out waht the prob was, it was the fucking mobo....

It's rated at 4x PCi the card is 16x..... so the mobo could not regulate the voltage caming of the card.....

normally it's no prob... the mobo just limits the card to 4x.. way you go, it's when the card requires a bit more voltage that the 4x PCi port cana not handle....

But having said that, the 7950 cards are DIFFERENT to anything else below it..... 7900gs > down.... checked the mobo out and it's not supporting 7950 cards....

weird..

but it will support a 7900gtX!!!

I give up..... i ordered anew mobo, went for the best, got Abit agin... the fucking manual is in perfect inglish and it's 150+ pages long, detailing every single tiny little detail on the motherboard.... apart from been one of the best onverclocking boards ever made..... wich makes no diff tome.. cuase I NEVER overclock...
