Those really hot chicks gave me a resolution to fix mouse lag and that Godawefull floaty feeling of the crosshairs...... The tweaks posted above for mouse settings do not go near far enought, remember this game is for the Console players as well, so there is a lot of 'other' stuff going on......
Here are the settings that need to be changed;
in UTInput.ini:
Code: Select all
[Engine.PlayerInput]
LookRightScale=0.000000
LookUpScale=0.000000
bEnableMouseSmoothing=False
...
Bindings=(Name="MouseX",Command="Count bXAxis | Axis aMouseX Speed=2.0",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
Bindings=(Name="MouseY",Command="Count bYAxis | Axis aMouseY Speed=2.0",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
...
Bindings=(Name="LookUp",Command="Axis aLookUp Speed=+25.0 AbsoluteAxis=0",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
Bindings=(Name="LookDown",Command="Axis aLookUp Speed=-25.0 AbsoluteAxis=0",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
...
Bindings=(Name="GBA_TurnLeft",Command="Axis aBaseX Speed=-40.0 AbsoluteAxis=0",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
Bindings=(Name="GBA_TurnRight",Command="Axis aBaseX Speed=+40.0 AbsoluteAxis=0",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
NEXT SECTION:
[UTGame.UTPlayerInput] <- same thing in this section as in PlayerInput.
LookRightScale=0.000000
LookUpScale=0.000000
...
Bindings=(Name="MouseX",Command="Count bXAxis | Axis aMouseX Speed=2.0",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
Bindings=(Name="MouseY",Command="Count bYAxis | Axis aMouseY Speed=2.0",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
...
Bindings=(Name="LookUp",Command="Axis aLookUp Speed=+25.0 AbsoluteAxis=0",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
Bindings=(Name="LookDown",Command="Axis aLookUp Speed=-25.0 AbsoluteAxis=0",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
...
Bindings=(Name="GBA_TurnLeft",Command="Axis aBaseX Speed=-40.0 AbsoluteAxis=0",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
Bindings=(Name="GBA_TurnRight",Command="Axis aBaseX Speed=+40.0 AbsoluteAxis=0",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)

Having finished that you now need to adjust your MouseSensitivity according to your preference and what feels right in game with this console command;

set Engine.PlayerInput MouseSensitivity <x>
where <x> = a number
In relation to the console command, if you look at the cheat codes for offline play 2k posted above, you will see another console command for changing mouse sensativity. Please note there NOT the same, i will let the author of the above tweaks, explain it better;
Both commands work for changing sensitivity, the only difference is that the;
set Engine.PlayerInput MouseSensitivity
command can only be used offline & is used for setting the value in the ini manually.
The;
setsensitivity
command can be used online but only changes it in memory.
So when your testing these tweaks, finding the right sensativity for you, remember to be OFFLINE, so the command, changes your *.ini as well, otherwise you have to do it everytime you play.
On a side note, the author of the tweaks was asked, why there was console (Xbox, PS3, etc..) stuff written into the PC demo..... good question I thought, here's what he had to say about it;
As for why they would have all kinds of multipliers and base angles set in ut3 - i think this was to add a more dynamic mouse input system that would work both on PC and Console with little to no changes in the code. Thus resulting in garbage input settings on the PC because Console input is crap to begin with ;o
There are rumors going around saying that the main development team that worked on UT3 was a console team, I believe this to be true more and more with each day.
If that is true, then it
all makes perfect sense to me.......

I'm going to try this later, see how it goes.......
Ps: 2k, you need to fix your PC's sound settings dude, someting is fucking your sound output in TS. Lat night we had to move you from the channel, cause the amount of feedbak and static coming thourhgt was huge......... it was so loud, it atually hurt my ears.....
You need to find out wtf iz going on there... I suspect it's your 64-bit audio drivers conflicting with all the Creative EX crap in the game...... try turnng off all the fancy sound setings or sme crap like that.....
Man it was loud, Gades, Druzilla and me were screaming at you to turn it off... ffs... lolol
