Tri-angles you might wanna try selecting a server thats slightly closer to you to get the most accurate results (especially for your ping) Adelaide is apparently 1350 miles from where you live lol

Theres no Perth test one.. closest was Adelaide and as you may know Perths da most bloody isolated capital city in the whole world

Where Im living I cant get ADSL2 right, but if i lived 100m down the road I can. HOW SCREWED IS THAT!?! lol

I live in the "newer" area of the surrounding suburbs and instead of the older infrastructure, I have the "brand new whiz bang" RIM infrastructure (see the link below for more info)

So until ADSL2 becomes compatible with the RIM infrastructure Im left with, along with the 20 hectares of homes around me,  1.5mb ADSL lol. The exchange is only about 1.5km from my house to!

You get better pings on ADSL1 anyway, just slower downloads is all.

Telstra have increased upload speed ffs nice to know as i got capped 6 days a go.

I asked Optus around 6 to 7 months ago to upgrade my modem as it was under performing. Yesterday they sent me out a new modem.

Try it again tomorow night Gammo, and then the next night.  My ADSL2 varies depending on what day and time.  I think cable is the same.

It's better then before... apperantly I was on an outdated modem.. and was only getting 100klb max speed.... Now I can d/l at around 1Mb....

Better... BUT

After i took the speed test it disconnected and I only got it back an hour ago...

FFS!!! nearly 24 hours for them to set my new modem up...

FUCKING USELESS!!!!!!

Grr. Bad thing there is no such thing as an unlimited plan anymore. Doesn't exist, anywhere at all (and I used to be on one). The most I've seen advertised is a 45gig limit, $70 month plan.
