Post by gämmö »

Fuck you Rudd.

http://www.efa.org.au/2008/10/16/efa-al ... lean-feed/

We must fight to stop this load of bullshit. This will kill internet in Australia.

IF this goes ahead, i will consider leaving Australia all together.

There is no way this should be allowed to continue under any circumstance, shape or form.

This is corporate monopoly were the DEMOCRATIC government of Australia will hold a TOTALITARIAN authority over what you can and can not do online.

We live in a democracy, we do not need filthy degenarate corrupt cocksucking politicians tell us what we can and what we can not do.

What this represents, in a nutshell is the following:

YOU WILL PAY TO SURF A REGULATED TIGHTLY CONTROLLED INTERNET, WERE THE ONLY WEBSITES ALLOWED ARE THOSE OF CORPORATE CONSUMER INTEREST. EVERYTHING YOU LOOK AT, EMAIL AT WILL BE INTERCEPTED AND READ BY SOME RETARD TELLING YOU WEATHER YOU CAN OR CAN NOT GO THERE.

Here's my messEage to you the people behind this censorship Nazi like regime.

GO FUCK YOURSELFS.

I also heard that if this goes ahead, it will directly affect the overall speed ISP's can offer. This may have been speculation though. Unfortunately I cannot remember the website I got this info from...

Found it.

"Internet Service Providers (ISPs) contacted by Computerworld say blanket content filtering will cripple Internet speeds because the technology is not up to scratch. "

Computerworld

"Australian ISPs interviewed as part of this project have indicated they will pass on additional costs to their customers. There will also be enforcement costs."

Same website - article from earlier in the year tough

That's right, even if the tech was up to speed, it will still cripple net speeds, because of the extra computations put into the process hierachy, so regardless of the tech specs, filtering will slow everything down.

You can actually prove this in the real world by using common sense. You all know what an inline fuel filter is right?

Well imagine that the crud that the filter blocks out and in turn piles up in the filter are individual net connections, the more net connections the slower it will work because there is less and less room to move in. You follow me.

It has a restricting effect, because it fills the bandwid with useless computations designed to dertermine if the link you're trying to get is approved or not by scanning the website for red-flags.

Of course, if you really think about it, it won't be working like this will it?

Of course not, no ISP will implement the filters if the filters in turn scan every single link been requested by the end-user, it just simply will not work like that the ISP will require 10 times the bandwithd to process each request, they will go broke or pass the cost on to us and it won't be a couple of dollars. You will need a shitwagon load of extra bandwithd to accomdate such system.

key word:

MISDIRECTION, if you don't know what dat means watch the movie Swordfish.

Their pretending to make a big deal of a filtering system, but that's just clever misdirection to conceal their true aganda.

The filtering will end up been implemented like a huge PORTAL and that my dopey friends will be the end of the internet in Australia.

Every ISP is forced to redirect ALL their (because you can not op-out) users to this portal that no longer filters anything out. It just simply uses a BLACKLIST and a WHITELIST methodology. meaning that ONLY WHITELISTED sites are available on the portal and every BLACKLISTED site is auto blocked from the portal.

So the question is, WHO makes the WHITELIST, to what values do they adhere to?  Christian values (The same ones that have us involved in killing hundreds of thousands of innocent poeple in Iraq and Afghanistan?)

perhaps State capatalist values? (The same ones that are currently burning the planet to the ground? The same ones that have 10% of the worlds population using 85% of it's resources while the rest of them die of thrist, starvation, war!

Do any of you know how many impoverished children are been raped up the arse right now as we speak, DO ANY OF YOU HAVE A FUCKING CLUE! How many of them are been held at gunpoint to make the products you take for granted.)

Are these the fucking values that will determine what we can and can not do on the internet.

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME.... FUCK!!!!!!

Are you all starting to ge the picture here? EVERYTHING that they do not approve will be BLOCKED, PERIOD!

INCLUDING this WEBSITE, a humble gaming clan website, whose members like to post non conformist political views as part of their right to freedom of expression.

Do any of you think, they will not block every single critisism, opinion, view point that does not agreed with their corporate state capitalist agenda?

WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!!!

This very reply I've just done here is enought grounds to block and ban this site from the portal.

Get off your arses and complain, don't just ignore it, once it's here it's to fucking late, you're fucked. So say something NOW!

AND FOR FUCKS SAKE TURN OFF YOUR FUCKING TV'S!!!!!!!!!!!   THERE TURNING YOU INTO DUMB FUCKING VEGATABLES!!!! TV IS PURE 100% CORPORATE PROPAGANDA DESIGNED TO MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE SHIT SO YOU GO OUT AND BUY MORE GOODS THINKING YOU WILL NO LONGER FEEL LIKE SHIT!!!!!!

FFS..... TURN THE FUCKING CUNTS OF THINGS OFF!!!!!!

But don't just take my word for it, the overseas pressd are reporting this with more clarity then ANY Oz based media outlet, who seem completly silent on this issue, instead or raising public awereness of this, they (Oz press) report everything AFTER the fact.

Well done fucktarts. Here read this report, it makes it clear as a bell, just how fucked up this is going to be.

This article was first published at:  http://www.zeropaid.com/news/9821/Australian+Govt's+Plan+to+Censor+the+Internet+is+'Stricter+than+Iran'

Australian Govt's Plan to Censor the Internet is 'Stricter than Iran'
posted by soulxtc in file sharing // 8 days 11 hours 25 minutes ago
Now reportedly silencing those critical of its plan to filter the Internet of "offensive" and illegal material.

I've mentioned before how the Australian govt is moving ahead with plans to have ISPs filter porn and other internet content deemed inappropriate for children despite findings that they aren't effective and reportedly degrade connection speeds by an alarming 86%.

Now comes word that the office of the Communications Minister, Stephen Conroy, is trying to silence critics of the plan after one of his advisors wrote an “intimidating” email to Mark Newton, an engineer at the ISP Internode, who criticized the plan on the Whirlpool broadband community forum by saying it would not work and could even enable child abuse.

“In your capacity as a board member of the IIA (Internet Industry Association) I would like to express my serious concern that a IIA member would be sending out this sort of message,” the email from Mr Conroy’s advisor Belinda Dennett read.

“I have also advised (IIA chief executive) Peter Coroneos of my disappointment in this sort of irresponsible behaviour.”

Newton also criticizes the plan in an interview with Tech Wired Australia:

Censorship systems by their very nature are centralised, there’s only 1 blacklist and the traffic has to be funneled through whatever system it is that’s processing that blacklist and that will inevitably cause central points of failure on a network traffic will need to be funneled into directions that network design principles would usually indicate you wouldn’t funnel traffic in that way. You would have to send it into the filtering system, if the filtering system breaks or runs out of capacity or something like that, there are going to be outages so it is going to make the Internet less reliable even if everything is working perfectly and of course we know from the Enex report that it can’t work perfectly anyway.

Under the scheme there will be two filter tiers: one which blocks illegal material like child pornography; and another, referred to in a department press release, which blocks a list of material deemed unsuitable for children.

Users can opt out of the latter, but there is no opt-out for “illegal content."

“I’m not exaggerating when I say that this model involves more technical interference in the internet infrastructure than what is attempted in Iran, one of the most repressive and regressive censorship regimes in the world," said Colin Jacobs of Electronic Frontiers Australia.

Luckily enough, neither tier will be capable of filtering content obtained over P2P and file-sharing networks, which account for an estimated 60% of Internet traffic.

Newton continues:

...there are other aspects to the trial where you don’t even have to dig deep, like look at the headline results for applicability to non-web protocols. I know as a network engineer at a large ISP that over 60% of Australia’s Internet traffic is Peer to Peer. Over 60%. Now none of the products that were testing by Enex can have even the slightest affect on Peer to Peer, and Peer to Peer is the single most common means of transmitting content around the Internet. So let’s say that your a nefarious sort who’s interested in transmitting around the information which the government claims is illegal. OK you can either put up a webpage, but you won’t do that if these products are deployed because webpages will conceivably be blocked if the products actually work, but on the other hand distribute exactly the same content with say BitTorrent, and there is no single filtering product on the market that can do anything about that. The best the filter can do is detect that there is some BitTorrent traffic on the network.

Australians will pay for ISP filtering with decreased performance and higher charges, but to limit the free flow of information that makes the Internet the most valuable communication and education tool of our time, means that they'll pay a much larger price in the long run, and to try and silence those who point that out is the real crime here.
So are any of you still not worried about this?

The Australian press is f**cking attrocious.  Pure commercial fluff and filler .
Even they so called 'liberal' media, i.e AGE, ABC pump out vomitous trite that barely scrapes in as journalism, let alone good journalism.

There is almost litterally no dissenting opinion, bar a few characters who get the briefest of mention here and there.  At least The US, UK, South America etc. for all their bullshit have a fairly strong contingent of people who are willing to put their necks on the line.  Not that Australia doesn't have anything like, but  it's far and few between.

Do any of you know how many impoverished children are been raped up the arse right now as we speak,
ROFL.  Crude, but true in a way.  I haven't watched TV in 4 years.  I tell some people and they look at me like I've just told them I enjoy sodomising goats.  It's hard to condense it into a convincing argument  for people to understand.   The driving factors of large business (which essentially shapes our entire society at the moment) are greed and ignorance.  Inconisederate pricks who could care less about you or what happens to your family, your cat or anything else for matter.  And aside from all that, it's devoid of any interesting ideas or any connection to reality.  Incredibly fucking lame, is a phrase that springs to mind.

How can you live with any dignity?  You get assualted by mindless bullshit wherever you go.  If they could filter all these fucken ads off the internet, that would be something.

Seriously, has everyone lost their gag reflex?  I know gammo's fired up, but most people would rather watch australian idol than do anything to shape their own society.

There shouldn't even be a debate with this filtering issue.  The immediate reaction should have been uninamous and complete outrage.  Embarresment and castration for the blockhead son of a bitch who proposed the idea in the first place.

GEt aload of this;

Article 12 of The United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights states, "No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks."

Despite some charges to the contrary, anonymous Web surfing is not the sole province of criminals. Anonymity also serves whistle blowers, free speech advocates, and people just looking for personal privacy online. Privacy is not a crime and anonymity is not morally ambiguous or wrong, they are your right.

The rest is ALL political manipulation and bullshit!

FIGHT FOR YOUR FUCKING RIGHTS!
