The New Layout....

1st things first, joos ALL need to resize your goddam SIG to something a bit smaller please, the combined bandwidth they chew throuhg is outrageous.....

MAX sig dimensions at:

Width: 450pixels x Height: 120pixels

MAX Avatar Size is:

Width: 100pixels x Height: 100pixels

If ya don't resize or upgrade your sigs & avatars.. the board will eventually DELETE them.. you have been warned..... so no


K now that's out of the way, read on.....

Keeping in mind, that this forum is simply a placemarker for a new Website that's coming in the next couple of weeks...

What happened to the old one?

Well the 'Nuke-3vo' the CMS system we were using before, is no longer supportted and the bad news is that the core framework it uses, phpNUKE is beign cancelled, because it's redundent, old and klapped out.

So we move the Forums onto the brand new Open Source phpBB3 system and we move the main Website onto the new Open Source CMS Joombla!.

Done. Around 97% or the old stuff is still with us, lost about 300 post but they were old and full of bugs from previous conversions. Overall, the swicth to phpBB3 went pretty smooth...

If you look at my mini profile on the left here of the post, you will see a new field called: "Right Now I'm Playing:" and you can see what games I'm currently playing. You can set that yourselfs, inside your profile, just edit your profile to put your current games in there. NOT your ALL time fav games, but what you are ACTUALLY playing at this point in time..

So now we need a basic chooice;

What do joos prefer a) DARK layout or b) a LIGHT layout or c) BOTH?

A mix of both is the general idea with most new websites at the moment. But I also wanted to avoid a 'cliche' gaming site..... either way, can change it enought to avoid that....

I myself wanna go, with a middle of the ground sorta tingy....

dark and light... a mix of both... but not using strickly white for the light areas or black for the dark areas....

Personally i want to go with the theme called; "Akiraka" it offers the best layouts and colour combos, I was thinking of anyways..... (I have been through hundreds of free thems [they are truly terrible and outdated and fucking corny] and dozens of premier theme sites and RockTheme is the best by a long, long shot, also there the most reasonably priced, other theme joints want up to $100 dollars per theme and make you follow a list of requirements for not removing their copyright, fuck that, idiots!).

It would also be mucho appreciated if some of joos could help me out with the $50 US dollar fee the skins cames with. I don't want to use pirated stuff of our WebSite, were a legitamate clan, not sum, underground two-bit blowjob.

So if some of you could spare a few bucks... let me know..... kinda been paying for the website on my own now for along time.... yeah.

So anyhow... the full website, will of course will contain a portal and it will include the League Ladder system we had for uTwars (Link on the menu on the left there, still has it running, check it out) because that ladder system can be used simultaniously for different comps for different games.

It will have everything the old one had, just updated and non uTx centric. And a few new tricks. But it will be STATE-OF-THE-ART and the envy of the clan world.... hehehehhehehe

Just keep in mind, these forums are only TEMP, so as we can discuss the future one... lol (This template i'm using here, is unsecure, old and quite stupid to update, i don't want to use this)

fuck i hated that other theme, it was almost impossible to modify, without going into fucking convolusiontions, to hell with that.

This is the default phpBB3 skin, until i fix wat ever it is im doing...

dimensions style 19 looks ok......all of em are basic.

this white on fluoro white is a real bad theme and should be shot. go get your lg out and head-hunt it.

imo 50$ is a bit expensive for some guy to photo shop a picture in the background and change some colours and icons.

btw i know im not around much and i apologise but heck ctf is the only thing i find fun and even then no sheildgun....and xloc is little better than running. quake is fun like a cheap hooker....i just cant stand the sight of it atm....

Well, you make it sound easy, try it and within 2 hours u b reaching for the suicide pills...
making a theme unique is truly hardcore work, there are hundreds of modifications to be made, etc...

The 50 membership, let's me do it all cheaply and quickly.

But no big deal, waz just asking daz all.. no one is obliged to do a f'n thing.

yeah dimensions is not bad, but a bit 'old school'.. kinda chunky style theme... n no.. dey might look basic, i asure you they are not...
