Bambislayer is out for a while

I have been trying to post since Friday...(can't get the post to work unless I disable bbcode, smiles and url parsing for some reason. tried ie8, ie8, ff4, xp and win 7)

Anyhow - all my whinging about the stalls etc on my system must have taken it's toll because my system died completely :-(

Now I gotta source a socket 775 mobo with ddr2 - yeah, there are some around but they are being advertised by shops that have a crap reputation

Looks like I might have to go 775 with ddr3 and chuck my ddr2 - typical IT in Australia - limited supply chains for older technology

I was wanting to see what AMD's new Bulldozer architecture was like before upgrading but my stupid system decided to die first

So, until I get around to getting a new mobo and digging out an old PSU I have in a box amongst 20 others and dragging out my old faithful 8800gtx, I can't figure out if it's the psu, mobo or gpu (or all 3) that has died

So I may be away for a few weeks yet - sorry all...
