seems buggy crashes all the time...........anyone know were the doom3 forums are?

Disco what kind of crashes are ya getting? Just to the desktop? What hardware are you running?

Im pretty disappointed too... looked good up until i had to actually start shooting things!

I’ve been playing it for the last 20 minutes…. Doesn’t seem like anything special…
I think Im going to stick with ut2004

yep crashing to desktop............i think i may have fixed it...seems to be major prob with 9800pro and doom3.........anyways i undercloked my vid card and switched "agp fastwrites" to "off"..........so far so good......game still suxor though :angry:

gday.

I reckon doom 3 rocks. Its been running smoothly for me, and the storyline is freaken sick. Playing single player doom3 is completely different from playing ut. Basically you just have to immerse yourself in the doom world, forget about all the double jumps and vehicles and shit. Doom is the perfect example of a vanilla single player shooter.

Doom3 Multiplayer is mad. I've played a few games, it's awesome for duels and 2 verse 2. The pace is slower but the weapons are really well balanced (except the pistol). It's good that its dark, I hope i don't see bright skins in doom 3, it'd ruin it.

I reckon because theres a 4 player limit in doom 3, rather than clans, people will be playing competitively solo or in pairs. This'll be kind of cool. Basically you can just grab your best mate and start playing online as a team.

Don't compare UT to Doom3, because its a completely different way of playing a FPS. Doom3 is more like the war games (medal of honour etc), because the pace is slower. Both have sweet gameplay though.

fixed my crashing to desk top issue............starting to get into the game a bit more..............its OK ......i just expected a LOT more from a game that took more than 5 years to develope

Mine is crashing big time. I got a 256mb 9600xt but it aint likeing something. It crashes so bad I can do nothing but hit the reset switch.

Cant wait, gettin my x800pro this weekend, then Ill install my COPY of DOOM3. Then say goodbye wakko for a few weeks.
