Downloaded and installed, here's my thoughts on what I've tested so far.

<span style='font-family:Impact'><span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>Vehicles</span></span>

I've just tested these in instant action with no bots, but I've got a good feel for what they'll do.

<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>Cicada:</span>

This is pretty cool, it has 500 armor, and can climb and dive twice as fast as the Raptor, however, it's strafing ability is somewhat limited, and is not quite as fast as the raptor. Nevertheless, a fun vehicle to pilot.

Anyways, it's a two seater craft and interestingly enough, I was able to change seats in mid air and the Cicada would just hover where I left it. The pilot fires missiles one of two ways, either by shooting single rockets wherever he likes, or by loading up a salvo to blast a single spot with. For the salvo, aim at where you want the salvo to go, a green crosshair will appear where you marked it, the missiles will just fly there, regardless of what you do next. Almost a fire and forget weapon.

The secondary gunner has a hitscan energy turret and can also fire flares for disrupting avril rockets, how effective this actually is I haven't tested yet.

<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>Paladin:</span>

A single seater tank with a really cool model, has 800 armor like the goliath. It handles somewhat different to the goliath as well, it can't just spin around on the same spot, and goes slowly in reverse. Although it doesn't go faster than the goliath, it seems slightly easier to steer. Interestingly enough, the turret can aim in any direction, even straight up! But the turret is also slow to rotate, just like the goliath, so you can't blast raptors out of the sky.

The turret shoots a plasma fireball with flies pretty fast, but not as fast as the tank sheel used to. How damaging it is I haven't tested yet.

As for the shield, I'm not sure how this works yet, but I think you hold the button down, and it activates when needed. Also if you press primary fire while holding down secondary fire, you get a shockwave around your tank.

<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>SPMA:</span>

Now this is interesting. A two seater with 600 armor, it has handling like the hellbender, but slower.

Okay, the pilot can shoot a shell for primary fire which will go a far way, difficult to aim but good for a quick defense. Secondary fire launches a camara which goes a LONG way, and you'll get a birdseye view of it as it well, fun! But if you press secondary again, it stops in mid-air and just hovers there. Now you'll see a massive green crosshair on the ground, which you can move with ASDW keys. Now pushing primary fire bombards the area with artillery fire. It takes the artillery some time to arrive, but the blast radius is massive. Useful for punishing nodes and tanks.

The passenger (if there is one) is tasked with defending the vehicle while the pilot causes hell across the map. To do so, he has a skymine turret, the same one from the hellbender, not a bad weapon for the task.

That's about all I've got to say at the moment, I'll do some more testing later B)

Hey, found this thread on other people's opinions and strategies about the new vehicles <a href='http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=414274' target='_blank'>HERE</a>

A lot of people seem to love the Cicada, clan Aenigma are really in love with it. So be ready for the inevitable air whoring guys

Heh, I've had much better luck against the Cicada, on urban, I pawned about four of them in succession with my shock rifle, they are impossible to miss if they are above you. Mind you, none of them were shooting at me, lol!

Sirro

I suggest to you when you shoot the avril, you dont lock onto it when you shoot it, just shoot it in its general direction, and then lock on when the avril is above it.

If it hovering, you just shoot and forget with the avril, the flares only work when the avril is locked on.

I gotta admit, I dun like th vehilces until I played with them on ARCTIC STRONGHOLD, thats where they make for much better play, as you have the SPMA to protect the vital first node. It is actually REALLY effective for protecting nodes.
