As I live in the States, can anyone tell me if I will be able to backup my DVD games and DVD movies so they dont get scratched? Will there be some protection bullshit to try and stop me? Will this DVD drive have problem with this protection? I know nothing.

Im a bit worried about it being a BenQ product, when I first got my PC it came with a BenQ CD writer and in two weeks it had died so I took the PC back to the store and had a LITEON CD writer put in and it's been working ever since (good three years). I also remember buying a pack of BenQ CD's once and out of the ten, seven worked...
Recently I bought a DVD writer, Im using the LITEON 12x DVD+R -R/ +RW -RW DUAL format DVD Writer. I cant remember the exact price but it was definately under $150. Liiteon has never steered me wrong but there are people out there who say they'd never touch one again.
So anyway look around, and get some more opinions B)
