(**) Please note that use of the 12000/1000 plans requires that you are connected to an Agile ADSL enabled exchange.
Maximum possible speed obtainable depends on the length and quality of your phone line from your telephone exchange.
To obtain full speed you must use an ADSL2 capable modem. Existing ADSL1 modems maximum possible speed 8000/1000.
Internode does not guarantee that customers who select the 12000/1000 plan will be able to obtain the full quoted speed

Yes but your not guaranteed to that speed you could get less :uberghey:

Monthly payments may only be made via credit card, paid in advance
No way i'll do that ::wtf2::

Yes it may only be $60 a moth but you got alot of other charges upfront :uberghey:

lol nice.. Yeah in response to this, Telstra are upgrading every exchange to ADSL2+ by mid 2006.

Finally DSL catches cable. up to 24mbit download baby. (If you dont know what that is... you when you download it says like 700KB/s? Well this'll be up to 3000KB/s :D)

That's interesting news.

12 freaking megabits per second, that's ludicrous.

Although, your actual download speed always seems to be 25% of your maximun, so that's 4 megabits, which is still awesome.

So is this it? We're witnessing lag being banished to the afterlife forever?

12 megabits per second is 1.5 megabytes per second. (8 bits = 1 byte)

Minus overheads, you're probably looking at 1.4MB/s

Thats fucking fast. On cable you're lucky to get 700KB/s (0.7MB/s). This is double cable's average maximum.

Internode are fair good. They've recently put their own tier1 connections to the US and around Australia. Therefore if you're on their network, your traffic doesnt go anywhere near Telstra, which is SICK.

druz, while u may not agree, think of this from a 28.8k dialup person,

im happy with it, and i can, convinced parents, by the way, its out of savings druz, have u payed a phone bill b4?

edit- as for not getting all of that, who cares, say at worst its half that, thats still uber, for a cheap connection $60 considering 1.5mg on telstra is over double that for 5 more gigs.

as for the charges
1. i pay dialup by the month, so im not in a plan, no cost
2. same as above
3. not moving anytime soon
4. installation cost for modem, (not many dont have to pay for that)

edit- i checked my post b4, and it didnt say anything like that. bside, i like druz, friends with him for ages now, wouldnt call him that for no reason.

and if ive said it b4, im sorry, i dont mean, it, its usually a joke, or playfull banter..

everyones entitled to an opinion, i just thought druz would be happy. =(

probly warning everyone else, or something

edit 2- j/k? =joke, jerk?
